Born in Hungary, Laszlo Andacs moved to the United States in 1998 to pursue a career in skydiving photography and videography. Settling in the Hudson Valley region of New York in 1999, he was captivated by the contrasts between earth and sky at 13,000 feet—the vibrant colors, the interplay between mountains and valleys, and the mixed emotions of exhilaration, awe, and fear evident on people’s faces. This fascination led him to transition from aerial photography to a broader photographic practice, capturing nature, human emotions, architecture, and events.
Over the years, Laszlo has garnered several accolades, including first and third-place awards in the International Photography Awards for extreme sports and architecture, respectively, as well as an honorable mention in wedding photography.
His work has been widely published in various periodicals, books, and websites, and his motion picture work has been featured in television and feature films. In addition to his photography and videography endeavors, Laszlo became a licensed real estate salesperson, further integrating himself into the Hudson Valley community. His outgoing personality and extensive network have earned him the affectionate nickname “mayor” among locals, reflecting his deep connections and widespread recognition throughout the region.
